Weekend Plans: Singles Events Will Honestly Open Doors
Look, I’m not a mass-produced eligible single man, habitually occupied by being missing the fun instead of living it up with friends. It’s unlikely you guys have never witnessed me ramble on great dating and compatibility. That’s just me for ya.
Boredom is an avoidable trait and completely never written into my family history. But, I’ll level with you, I definitely needed to squelch a worthwhile cohabitation that meant something to me but essentially deadended for both of us. So somone could tell ya it may have been a while since I dated. I’m missing the great expectations for dating I used to enjoy.
Being single is new and free. One thing is for sure, I can’t stay in peacefully binging on Two and a Half Men on DVD. The biggest reason for this spell of incidental dating lameness? This isn’t college, and most ladies I meet at work are taken.
My accomplished college pal, Josh, who doesn’t know the meaning of dating lameness, told me he’s now shooting from the same blind as I am. He introduced me to this Dallas dating service called Great Expectations. Of course, I like introductions with new ladies around my age. Surprise, I put myself on a plan and joined.
The point is, there ain’t room to feel down by going dateless if you haven’t stepped off the bench. Like our senior year soccer coach Jason Smith repeated to no end between war stories, “When the ladies don’t bite, bite them first, sparky.”
Sheer genius, right? Regardles, the old man was right in a round about way. He meant well to everyone. The fantastic company offering matchmaking services in Dallas that I use definitely would have done a number on the gipper’s noggin’.
At yesterday’s Great Expectations dating events I shared a great evening with some substantive and desirable ladies that hold my expectations. I actually had a blast with some intelligently noteworthy people. I ducked out of the mixer a little early with an exchange of digits, in addition to the fact that I developed some political acquaintances for my job. Success.
Take action. You won’t win if you don’t try. Listen to me and at least have great expectations for dating.
Live It Up!
Keith
