Which Artificial Sweetener Is the Worst for Your Health?
Aspartame poisoning is not some cyber hoax! As many as fifty nutritionists, nurses and doctors have finally come public with their worries that Aspartame isn’t only approved by the FDA, but it is also used in so many of our sugar-free foods, drinks and desserts. According to Lendon Smith, M.D., there is a rising number of people suffering from side effects affiliated with aspartame, yet don’t understand why drugs, supplements and herbs will not ease their symptoms. It’s strange to report that there are those who regularly use aspartame but don’t appear to suffer typical side effects at all. These users are in an even more hazardous predicament, because even though there is the absence of side effects, these aspartame users are open to long-term impairment caused by the ingredients of aspartame — excitatory amino acids, phenylalanine, methanol, and DKP.
Aspartame was seen to be a potentially poisonous substance in the 1960s. In the forty years since then, aspartame has been established to be a carcinogen. Aspartame has found to be established in lab studies to reduce the IQ of a fetus as much as 20 points and to adversely affect brain and nerve development in the unborn. With such a deluge bad press collecting the last 30 years proving the health dangers of aspartame, this chemical should have been taken from use on the day it was first approved. The fact is, aspartame was indeed pulled after it was authorized. It was then subsequently re-approved.
Instead of using aspartame or other artificial sweetener, use one of many healthy sweeteners available today.
